The people of Deer River United Methodist Church believe
all that we have is a gift from God!
God has a mission to use us to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim release to those who are imprisoned and enslaved, to proclaim the recovery of sight to the blind, and to free oppressed peoples from their burdens.
It is in giving to, loving, and serving our neighbors that we draw closer to God’s reign.
When we give, we offer our prayers, our presence (or attendance of community worship), our gifts (monetary and otherwise), and our service. “Giving to the church” is about a whole-life commitment, not just our wallets.
Contributions may be mailed to: Peg Grossell, PO Box 366, Deer River MN 56636. Checks should be made to DRUMC. We thank you in advance for your love and support.
ADDITIONAL AVENUES FOR GIVING:
MARCH is Deer River Food Shelf month at our church. There are many food-insecure households in Deer River, especially since the coronavirus hit. Gifts of non-perishable goods (canned food, pasta, peanut butter, paper goods) are welcome as donations. Gifts of money are preferred as they can be used by the Food Shelf to buy such goods in bulk. Make a difference in the life of a local family today.
Donations to the Deer River Food Shelf are welcome all through the year, not just in March!
As a church, we are committed to prayer for and reach out to disabled veterans and their families. Beginning in March, we will make a monthly gift of $100 (in the form of five $20 gas cards) to be available through the office of the Veteran’s Services Officer in Grand Junction. This is a small beginning of what we hope will become a larger ministry. If you are interested in giving or participating in this ministry, please contact Pastor Gay.
