Our congregation is thrilled to be back together — and the only person missing is you. Our worship service is at 10:00 am on Sundays.
Worship services will be aired at the regular weekly times on ICTV public access, Channel 32, on Tuesdays (2:00 pm and 10:30 pm) and Wednesdays (6:00 am). Check your local channel schedule as some basic cable services show this on another channel.
If you are visiting Deer River United Methodist Church in person for the first time…
We are excited to have you as our guest at Deer River United Methodist Church!
You may have some questions about how we worship.
What is the worship service like?
Everything we do in worship is to give glory to God and to experience the power of God’s love in our lives. We come together in worship knowing that — in Christ– we are more than the sum of our parts.
God has called us to be Christ’s Body in the world — Christ’s hands, feet, hearts, and living words.
Our service is at 10:00 am. We worship in a more traditional style, with familiar and contemporary hymns sung out of our United Methodist Hymnal. Sermons are grounded in scripture and relevant for daily life, thoughtful and challenging.
How should I dress?
When we worship in-person, you will find that the people of our church dress comfortably; we want you to be comfortable, too. Some of us dress in jeans and t-shirts while others dress up a little more. During football season, Vikings shirts are likely to appear in the pews!
Are children welcome in worship?
Absolutely! We love our children and think it is important for them to be present at worship. In worship, children are shaped by things that we say and do together in that hour, helping them to develop a lifelong faith. We don’t expect children in worship to act like adults – since they aren’t. We often hear babies and children throughout the worship service and truly consider them joyful noises.
We have a shelf of children’s books at the back of the sanctuary. If your child has questions about worship, we encourage you to answer rather than shush them! Our goal is to make worship as family-friendly as possible.
If the noise of your child is bothering you, feel free to get up and move around, to step out and back into the service as needed.

How do I connect beyond worship?
For many people, worship is the “front door” of experiencing what God is doing at DRUMC, but we don’t just want you to stay there. We would like to know you better and help you find ways to engage, grow, and share your gifts in our family of faith!
